  • No! We have had new members from all grade levels join us! It’s never to late to explore your passions and be part of something great!

  • Yes! We have students in almost every other club, sport, and activity on campus! Of course this can result in some unavoidable schedule conflicts. We just ask that you let us know ASAP so we can come up with a solution and set everyone up for success.

  • The common misconception about marching band is that we rehearse a ridiculous amount and don’t leave students with any time for academics. However, in reality, the marching band only rehearses between 6 and 8 hours a week. We also have a dedicated study hall between school dismissal and rehearsal starting. The RVCR has had multiple Valedictorians graduate from every class for the past 20 years! It’s all about time management.

  • Our program is primarily funded by donations from participating families and fundraisers held throughout the school year. We aim to keep the donation amount as low as possible for our students’ families, but it varies from year to year depending on shows/extra trips. No student will be prohibited from participating due to an inability to donate.

  • Come to our Marching Band meeting! Every year, we have a meeting for new and returning members to go over the schedule and process to join the RVCR. The date will be posted soon, so be on the lookout on our social media for the meeting information! We hope to see you there!
